Sunday Polo

One thing I have never done but always wanted to do was attend a polo match. I grew up with horses so watching them in action was really neat. My sister joined us for the event and we tagged along with Ty, Eddie, Wyatt, Dylan, and Rusty. Quite a gang.... Such a blast!

Ty is too cool for school in his new hat :)

Horses were sooo beautiful... and fast!

Love my sister!

San Diego with the Paskins!

I had never been to San Diego, really never seen San Diego.... I was lucky enough to ride along with the best family in the whole world, yes thats right: Sarah, Mike, Reese and baby Jack! We started out hopping in their awesome plane at the SB airport. Such a great way to travel... never need to go by flight schedules or stress about luggage, its all at your flying convenience. The SB airport even has yummy cookies in their pre-flight waiting area..score! Once we were all loaded in the plane, we had to wear cool head phones in order to communicate with each other during the flight...

It was a short flight to San Diego smooth sailin and a near perfect landing I might add! We stayed at Mike's Dads house right on the beach...

After unpacking a little, we walked around downtown and stopped at a wonderful little cupcakery with mouthwatering cupcakes :) I will work very hard to recreate some of these little masterpieces..

Amazing display!

It was Sarah and Mike's 6 year wedding anniversary so they went out to celebrate... an amazing example of what 6 years of marriage looks like. I cant wait to see what six years down the road looks like for me and ty <3

The weekend was spent with lots of laughter, laying in the sun, dancing, cuddling and having fun! Thank you Sarah and Mike for letting me spend a wonderful weekend with you and your beautiful family...

Visiting the Wilson's

A couple weeks ago we went to visit the Wilson Family down in Los Angeles. It was a short little drive to their wonderful home and we were once again greeted with large buildings and lots and lots of people. Its amazing how many people there are in Los Angeles! Christin and baby Ryder (8 months old now!) were waiting for us when we got there. We went straight to their restaurant, Wurstkuche to fill up on gourmet sausages and exotic beer. They have soo many varieties: rattlesnake, buffalo, duck, rabbit, as well as chicken, turkey and veggie options... mmmmmm AND every beer variety is served in its own glass fit for that type of brew!
The next day, we decided to go on a hike up to the Hollywood sign. Tyler (Christin's Husband) had to work at the restaurant so we (Me, Ty, Christin, Ryder) hiked on up the trail. Tyson and I quickly realized how out of shape we were as we watched Christin hike up the mountain with Ryder in the Bjorn! Man she is tough!

After the rigorous hike we headed back to Wurstkuche for lunch and some walking around LA. Our Friends Stenn and Betsy joined us for Dinner at Bottega Louie, a California spin on great Italian food. We talked and talked, laughed and talked... mostly about each other and our great first and second years of marriage. Its sooo nice to have friends that share the same goals and future desires. I just wish they lived closer :(
The next day, our final day, we had a great breakfast together and then it was time to head home. It was a short trip but everyday was cherished. I hope we get to create more great memories soon!
