39 weeks, 6 days

It is the eve of my due date... and all I can think of is BABY, BABY, BABY!! For some reason, I thought our baby might come a tad early.... but all those days came and went... with nothing more than a growing belly :) Don't get me wrong, I love being pregnant and having our baby all to myself right now... but now I am really anxious to meet our precious gift and share him/her with the world! The more hours that go by with no signs even slightly pointing to labor, I can't help but get a little more anxious to meet our baby. Hopefully soon... but for now.. here is another belly pic and a dog adventure we had this weekend.
Kayda got a trip to Petco, and Ty just had to dress her up... she got a toy and a new collar out of it!

Tyson and I took Kayda to Elings Park (Dog Park) so she could get some energy out. There weren't any dogs around but she always has at least one play partner wherever we go! (Ty)

Mr. and Mrs. Parton

This weekend, we had the pleasure of attending Stenn and Betsy's wedding. It was a gorgeous event filled with amazing food, amazing people and lots of LOVE! The ceremony took place at Montecito Covenant Church and the reception following at Birnam Wood Country Club. Tyson was a groomsman in the wedding party but overall it was phenomenal... soo many great people!
The ceremony was beautiful beyond words... love radiated through the church. The newlyweds made off to the reception in this beauty...
Cocktail hour at Birnam was out of this world.... Appetizers and drinks galore. This was the WRONG wedding to be preggo at... There were hand shucked oysters, and shrimp the size of small lobsters as well as a handful of passed goodies. We had to take advantage of the light for some silly pictures :)

This is the 37 week update picture... yes I am aware of the watermelon under my dress

The reception area was filled with stunning flowers, candles, and champagne...

The BEAUTIFUL Mr. and Mrs. Parton

What is a wedding without the USC marching band to perform! Great surprise.
The live band was sooo fun!

We started the meal with a soup taster and followed it with a 3 beat trio with avocado, greens, purple haze goat cheese and 18 year aged balsamic vinaigrette. Delish! The main dish was a surprise (a favorite of the bride and groom)... drum roll... BURGERS! Kobe beef burgers. It was soo refreshing to have such an honest meal that you could really enjoy!

The cake was both white with fresh raspberries and lemon curd AND chocolate cake with white chocolate mousse. I had both of course!

And the dance floor was great! I took part for my share of songs... trying to induce labor... no success, only a very sore back the next morning :(

AMAZING wedding... AMAZING people... such a fun night! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Parton :)

Our good friend, and amazing photographer Kelli Durham captured these memories for us. Kelli also shot our wedding photos and will hopefully soon take Baby P's first professional photos!

36 Weeks

Yes, I have been pregnant for 9 months. Oh dear... the countdown is now in full effect! I have been feeling unusually large, like this belly might just take over my whole body. My shirts, let alone my maternity shirts aren't even covering the belly anymore. Instead of having things like the beach, shopping, sunshine or chocolate consume my thoughts... now it's more like nursing bras, labor, my back, fatigue, hospital and food. I honestly wish someone could just tell you the day you would go into labor, but that would make anyone go insane. I am feeling a little anxious about the whole "delivery" but SO excited to finally meet our little baby! BABY.... woa.

Current Statistics (approximate)
36 weeks and 1 day preggo
3 weeks and 6 days to go... more or less
The baby is as big as a: Watermelon (19 to 22 inches, 6.5 lbs) yikes!
