Mr. and Mrs. Parton
This weekend, we had the pleasure of attending Stenn and Betsy's wedding. It was a gorgeous event filled with amazing food, amazing people and lots of LOVE! The ceremony took place at Montecito Covenant Church and the reception following at Birnam Wood Country Club. Tyson was a groomsman in the wedding party but overall it was phenomenal... soo many great people!
This is the 37 week update picture... yes I am aware of the watermelon under my dress

The reception area was filled with stunning flowers, candles, and champagne...

The cake was both white with fresh raspberries and lemon curd AND chocolate cake with white chocolate mousse. I had both of course!

And the dance floor was great! I took part for my share of songs... trying to induce labor... no success, only a very sore back the next morning :(
The ceremony was beautiful beyond words... love radiated through the church. The newlyweds made off to the reception in this beauty...
Cocktail hour at Birnam was out of this world.... Appetizers and drinks galore. This was the WRONG wedding to be preggo at... There were hand shucked oysters, and shrimp the size of small lobsters as well as a handful of passed goodies. We had to take advantage of the light for some silly pictures :)
The reception area was filled with stunning flowers, candles, and champagne...
We started the meal with a soup taster and followed it with a 3 beat trio with avocado, greens, purple haze goat cheese and 18 year aged balsamic vinaigrette. Delish! The main dish was a surprise (a favorite of the bride and groom)... drum roll... BURGERS! Kobe beef burgers. It was soo refreshing to have such an honest meal that you could really enjoy!

Baby P's Crib
Today was a great day! The UPS man arrived to give us a package... well 2 very large packages! We were sooo blessed to receive our Crib and Glider chair!!! Jeannie gave us a very cozy chocolate chenille glider and Ty's grandmother (Jeannie's mother) gave us our crib! Something about receiving things for the baby is 100% better than receiving anything for yourself. Ty was a little less than thrilled, because he knew he had to put it all together :)
oh dear...
So many pieces!

Pretty soon Baby P will be in there, but for now he/she is in the belly
Almost there...
I have a felling Ty is going to be playing a lot of hide and seek...
these things are a lot of work
Final product finished!
When we were done, I felt like I wanted to immediately get everything ready for the room. We finally have something in Baby P's room, now I just really wanted it complete... slowly but surely it will happen...
It was a bit of a reality check putting this crib together... we are actually going to have a baby in a little over a month! woa...
This was what our living room looked like after we opened the crib.... in a million pieces of course!

Birthday celebration #2
Monday night, we celebrated again at the big Perk's house. Jeannie made an amazing meal (BBQ chicken, beans with buffalo, beautiful salad, delish garlic bread, and asparagus). We scarfed it down in minutes and then Ty got to open his one b-day gift - poor guy :) After sitting and digesting, it was finally time for birthday cake (my favorite part!). It is a secret family recipe but Ty chose chocolate cake with coffee frosting. YUM! I had to get creative with the candles.

Ty turns 25!
Happy Birthday to you....
Ty and I are finally the same age (for two months!). He is a quarter century young :) He had just returned from a friend's bachelor party so he spent most of the day lounging on the couch watching the Masters but later in the day we decided to get a few friends together to go to the Brew House for a quick dinner. We were joined by Eddie, Max and Michelle, Seth and Heidi, Charlie and Rusty. Such a wonderful bunch to celebrate with!
