Whole Wheat Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

I am on a baking spree! Anything I can think of or try, I just can't hold back. These cookies caught my eye because I have never baked with whole wheat flour before. I found it at trader joes and honestly, I can't taste any difference. The oatmeal makes up for most of the texture, aside from the gooey chocolate :) I used an ice cream scoop to form the dough so the cookies came out sooo big. More the better! I suggest having a warm cookie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream! mmmmmm

Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Cookies

*Makes about 3-4 dozen cookies

1 ¼ cups brown sugar
1 ¼ cups sugar
1 ¼ cups butter
3 eggs
1 ¼ teaspoon baking soda
1 ¼ teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 ¼ teaspoon salt
2 ½ cups white wheat flour
2 ½ cups oats
2 ½ cups semisweet chocolate chips

Cream butter and sugars. Beat in eggs and extract. Stir in dry ingredients and then chocolate
chips. Scoop rounded tablespoonfuls onto greased (or lined) baking sheets. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes.
